San Biagio Cake

Recommended wines:
Bianco dei BastiÓ

For the dough:
400g plain flour
80g butter or lard
80g sugar
Vanillin

For the filling:
300 g blanched almonds
Sugar 100 g
2 eggs
100g chopped dark chocolate
Grated lemon rind

Preparation:
Make a dough by mixing the ingredients with the addition of a little white wine.

Chop the almonds and add them to the other filling ingredients, mixing well.

Spread 2 / 3 of the dough into the pan, pour over the filling, spreading it well and garnish with the remaining dough cut into strips.

Bake at 150 degrees for 30 minutes.
